Now you know why I left Ohio. In any case, whether or not the sheriff should be carrying tranquilizers for escaped tigers or not, a dubious theory at best, the fact that he wasn't means the animals had to be shot. Even Jack Hanna agrees, as do most anival activists, of which I am one.

I am 70 years old. When I was a boy in Ohio, scrapple was a regular item on our dinner table, often served on Sunday mornings with butter and syrup just like pancakes—only better. It was my favorite dish and I begged for it and dreamed about it.
